2024 FAI World Drone Racing Championships: Champion
Bio
Hashimoto first began drone racing at the age of 13, having been introduced to the sport in a school competition in February 2021. Finding the sport irresistibly fun, he soon realised he had a talent for competition. This ambitious and determined young athlete has now participated in numerous races in Japan and internationally, including the FAI World Drone Racing Championships where he took the overall champion title in 2024, in a year when all the podium places went to junior participants.
Hashimoto says what he most likes about the sport is "when I win the race!" Although some say his natural aptitude is close to genius, he knows that success is down to hard work, commenting, "Everyday I try to get stronger and faster."
With his sights set on the podium at The World Games, he has planned an intense training schedule in the run-up to the event.
Other activities
Hashimoto combines training with study.
